The first IDARATHON, while innovative, was limited in scope, aimed specifically at the beneficiary departments and partners of the e-TAMKEEN programme. In the lines of the first edition success, the organisers decided to launch a second edition with greater ambition: to be accessible to all Moroccan ministries. This bold transition from a targeted edition to an inclusive one was challenging. In fact, mobilising the programme's focal points wasn’t enough to face of the task of managing the growing number of registrations from all the public Administration.
To cope with this influx, a user-friendly registration system was set up on the idarathon.ma platform. This initiative was enthusiastically received: in the space of a few weeks, more than 200 civil servants, driven by the spirit of innovation and the desire to contribute, came forward. The numerous applications made the selection process be rigorous. So, after a meticulous evaluation based on the originality of the ideas and the motivation of the participants, a hundred were selected to embody the next generation of IDARATHON. Moerover, this cohort was remarkably evenly matched, with 50% women and 50% men.
