The winning teams from the second edition of IDARATHON received specific support to develop their certified and recognised agile project management skills. They took part in training to obtain Scrum Master certification, an essential role in guaranteeing project development while remaining flexible and open to improvements in the team's workflow.
The SEER team, which won first place in the Hackathon, benefited from this training in Belgium, during a study trip to Brussels, while the other two teams took the training in Rabat. Each team member then had the opportunity to take the certification course, giving them the skills they need to manage the development of their solutions in the best possible way.
However, to maximise the effectiveness of the SCRUM method, it is also essential to incorporate the role of Product Owner (PO), an agile project manager responsible for satisfying customer needs by overseeing the delivery of a quality product, and acting as a link between the technical, marketing and customer teams. It was determined that the Challenge Owners of each solution were best qualified to take on this role. As a result, the Challenge Owners were invited to undergo specific training on the responsibilities of the Product Owner and to obtain the corresponding certification.
