The year 2023 marks the final year of implementation of the e-TAMKEEN programme, with particular emphasis on the deployment of its actions at local and regional level. Among other things, this has been achieved by organising actions that complement other Enabel’s projects in Morocco.
In the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region, training courses on public innovation were organised in conjunction with the DEPOMI project (Déploiement des Politiques Migratoires au niveau Régional) for local players in the region. Other initiatives were carried out in the Agadir and Oujda regions, again in collaboration with the DEPOMI project, as well as in Ifrane and Ouarzazatte with the PAGIE project.
Similarly, in the Oriental and Draa-Tafilalet regions, a complete training cycle focusing on entrepreneurship for women and disadvantaged people has been organised in collaboration with the AEDIB-NET project, while the province of Berkane, a pioneer in digital transition in Morocco, has been supported in its digital transformation process by the e-TAMKEEN programme. Berkane is the only province in Morocco to have a division dedicated to digital transformation, and eTamkeen will continue to support its initiatives in this area.
Finally, in collaboration with the Link Up Africa project, an initiative has been implemented to support the Agence Marocaine de Coopération Internationale (AMCI) in a number of different digital-related areas, as well as with the BASMA project (Support project for security services in the fight against violence against women).
